A Baby Shower

Today Mom, Brooke and Megan threw me a baby shower.
Mom of course made the cake. They made adorable wall decorations with baby pictures of Adam & I . . .
and served fabulous food - including hummus - one of my favorites!
Here are my aunts smelling candy bar "poop."
We played a few shower games, but this one was the funniest.
They melted 10 different kinds of candy bars into diapers
and you have to try to guess which candy bar is in which diaper.
Sisters
Here is my pal Kari and I showing off our competing baby bumps. She is due a few weeks after me. These LP ladies came up for the party. Thanks for making the drive!
And this is our growing family: Brooke, Lexi, Me, Kaitlyn, Mom, Megan & Piper.
I got so many great things, so now I'm feeling a little more ready for the baby.
Thanks for a great shower ladies!

Megan's Birthday

Mom & Dad flew Megan & Piper in today
for a weeklong visit for Megan's birthday.
That Allegiant airline is one of the best things
that's ever happened to happen to Fargo.
Now they can fly from L.A. to Fargo roundtrip for under $100!
Happy Birthday to Megan!
To celebrate her 32nd birthday, Mom & Dad took
us out to dinner at the Silver Moon.
Piper stayed with Jeremy & the kids, while we ate.
I can't remember the last time just
the 5 of us went out to dinner together.
The food of course was excellent.
Sisters! We were given complimentary champagne for celebrating a birthday there.
They even brought me a homemade ginger ale so I could partake in the birthday toast! After dinner we went to Brooke's and had birthday cake with Jeremy and the kids.
Even Piper likes Judy's famous frosting!
Happy Birthday Megan!

Golf Weekend

My golf game was lackluster so far this year, so I invited my friends Greg and Nathan to Moorhead in an attempt to boost my confidence. We golfed at Edgewood on Friday and Rose Creek on Saturday. I regained my confidence and my golf game is better than it has ever been.

Here is Greg hitting from behind an evergreen. Trees in Fargo are rare, but Greg has a unique ability to be able to find them. It might be more suitable if he had an ax in his hand rather than a golf club.

Greg did have a few tap-ins though. I'm not sure if this was a tap-in for birdie or if he was just finishing off a 4 putt.
This is Nathan hitting his 2nd shot. If you look closely you can see he is right in front of the women's tee box.....we were playing from the whites. Shots like this make for a long par.
Confidence is a big part of golf. After playing with Greg and Nathan my swing and confidence are both feeling great. I want to publicly thank them and I want them to know they are welcome in Fargo/Moorhead anytime.
Golfing was a lot of fun. We are thinking about doing a golf trip like this every year. Next time it will be in St. Cloud at Greg's or in the Cities at Nathan's.

Finally Visible Progress!

I've been getting some complaints that I haven't been updating the blog often enough lately. I feel like the house has been moving very slowly and there hasn't been much to document, however we have had the plumbers out - so here is one of our tubs installed. The electricians have also been there, as you can see
by all of these outlet and light switch boxes.
But today they finally started siding, so at last
there was something worth taking a picture of!
We've had to move our closing date back from August 28th to the second week of September, but hopefully they'll make that deadline and we will get in our new house with time to spare before our baby arrives on September 24th!
