An Officer and a Gentleman

Adam graduated from Alexandria Tech's Law Enforcement Skills program on July 25th. He worked so hard all summer and even experienced a taser and pepper spray! Now he is looking for a job around Moorhead, so that he can protect and serve. 128 students went through the summer skills program which ran from May19 - July 25.
Here is Adam with the coveted certificate.
These are Adam's buddies, Ashley and Dan.
Woody and Marilyn also attended Adam's Graduation
and helped us celebrate afterwards at the new Bennigan's in Alex. CONGRATULATIONS ADAM! We're so proud of you!

Fourth of July

We celebrated Independence Day with all the traditional fanfare.
We dressed in red, white and blue and made sure to put the flag out.
Anyone that knows Adam, knows he LOVES the flag! The whole family got together at my parent's house.
We tried to have the all-American meal for dinner.
The menu consisted of hamburgers, corn on the cob, watermelon, a noodle salad and root beer floats. Here is Jaccob and Lexi eating in the backyard. Jeremy and Adam lounge. Kaitlyn loves her Grandma Pat's dog, Sadie.
I made patriotic cupcakes!
After dinner, Jaccob, Lexi and I lit sparklers from the fire in the chiminea before heading out to watch the big fireworks display put on by MSUM each year.
Adam and Jaccob wait for the big fireworks to start.

I hope your 4th of July was as fun, flag and family-filled as ours!

Redhawks Game

We finally saw our first Redhawks game of the summer!
We went over to Newman Outdoor Field on Thursday night with my parents.
The Redhawks ended up breaking their 7 game home losing streak,
probably because we were in attendance.
It was also the highest attended game of the summer, so there was standing room only available when we came. It was fun even though we had to stand, but mom and I did score some seats near the end of the game.
My dad flagged down the mascot Hawkeye because he thought a picture of him and I would look great on my blog. I wasn't too excited about it at the time, but he's right - look how cute we are!
They had a pretty nice fireworks display to patriotic music after the game,
so we got to watch fireworks on July 3rd and 4th!
