Walter's Dedication

We had Walt dedicated a few Sundays ago.
We'd meant to do it earlier,
but with Adam's schedule and being out of town some weekends,
it just never happened.
 Before we knew it -
Walt was a year old and we had another baby on the way.
So we finally grabbed Pastor Cal (who also married us)
and had him dedicate Walt after church one Sunday.
 Clearly, Walter was tired.
But he hung in there.
Here he is with Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Graff.
And here is the whole crew that was around for the event.

A Few More Bedroom Pics

I had to post a couple additional pictures of my beautiful bedroom,
courtesy of my dear husband.
Like I mentioned before,
I have big plans for this little alcove area.
Some aren't that hard to guess,
what with the outlet up so high on the wall -
we clearly plan to mount the television.
And in all honesty, we hope to be mounting a bigger television!
Regardless, it will be so nice to get it off of this little t.v. tray that
it's been sitting on and to hide all of these ridiculous cords.
It took us over a year to get our bedroom painted though,
so who knows how long it will be
until we get this little spot finished up!
Don't hold your breath people.

Easy Chicken Bake

Because you don't always have time
to make amazing meals from scratch,
here's a delicious option I found on the back of the Stove Top box.
You'll more than likely have all of the ingredients already,
so that is also a plus.
Cook the box of Stove Top according to the directions on the box.
And in the meantime,
cut up the chicken and throw it into a baking dish.

Then add in the Cream of Chicken soup -
Some sour cream and mixed vegetables -
 And stir it all together,
before topping it with the stuffing you made earlier.
Once it's all assembled - throw that dish in the oven.
It comes out looking like this -
It's quick, easy and tasty!
Perfect for busy days.

Easy Chicken Bake

1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1-1/2 lb. chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
1 can  cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup sour cream
1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen mixed vegetable

Heat oven to 400ºF. Prepare stuffing as directed on package. Mix remaining ingredients in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with stuffing. Bake 30 min. or until chicken is done.

Master Bedroom Reveal

Adam has been hard at work around here!
After he finished the ceiling and one wall of our bedroom,
he started taping the rest of the joint -
and preparing to paint the remaining walls.

Once again we went with Behr Premium Plus Ultra
because their paint and primer in one is amazing!
The color of choice for the rest of
the master bedroom was Suede Gray.
This is what it looks like in the can -
and this is what it looks like going on the walls.
Grandma came over and graciously gave Adam a hand,
since I'm not much help these days.
 Once everything was painted,
it was time to rip off the tape -
and take a look at the finished product.
 We went from this -
To this -
From this disaster zone -
 To this -
Did Adam do an amazing job, or what?
He surprised me by having our room all painted,
cleaned up and put back together
by the time I got home from work.
I haven't seen our room this clean and
clutter-free since the day we moved in!
It felt like a whole new space.

It was dark out by the time I got home,
so the lighting was bad for more pics.
But I'll give you more views soon.

Believe it or not -

There is painting in progress around here!
It's looking like my striped bathroom
won't get done before the baby comes,
but who would've guessed we'd get after the master bedroom
and get that thing painted?
Not me!
I'm pleasantly surprised.

Ever since we built this place and went with
orange peel ceilings instead of popcorn ceilings,
I knew I wanted to paint the ceiling in a room or two.
No better place to start than in the master bedroom.
So while I was at work today,
Adam started taping -
 and painting the ceiling.
For paint, we went with
Behr Premium Plus Ultra in Indulgent Mocha.
It went on quickly and smoothly -
and covered in only one coat.
 So here's the finished ceiling.
Adam plans to tackle the walls in a different color tomorrow,
but I decided to hit the back of this little inlet
with the same color as the ceiling.
I've got big plans for this area I designed myself
between the door to our room on the left
and the bathroom door on the right.
The model home didn't have this little bump in area,
but instead it had a flush wall straight across with a door into the
closet opening about where the TV is sitting.
I thought it looked ridiculous having that door
and the door to the bathroom right
next to each other on the same wall.
So I asked them to do this instead
and we access our walk-in closet through the bathroom.
I'll tell you more about my plan for this little space later,
but for now let's see it painted!

Adam taped the trim and took off the outlet covers,
before painting around the edges with a small brush.
Then he rolled on the same color as the ceiling,
and now it looks like this -
And here's a view where the painted ceiling
and the painted wall meet up.
I'm so excited to get the main color on the walls tomorrow!
Stay tuned.
