Let's Talk Skincare

Every woman out there
is trying to take care of her skin and prevent wrinkles.
I'm no different.
Remember this post?
I've been a devoted Mary Kay user for over 10 years
and never really thought about switching to anything else.
I mean a skincare system is a big commitment!

And I wasn't having any trouble with the Timewise products.
But I can report the my 11 had not disappeared with
the addition of the wrinkle treatments.
So when I went to a Sensaria home spa party in January
I had no intentions of switching.
But . . . .
I really liked the products I tried!
I decided to host a party of my own and
then use the hostess benefits I earned to try a new skin care line.
I figured, why not if it's free?
If I hate it -
I still have all of my Mary Kay products
and am out nothing.
So I ordered up the

And you know what?
I'm never going back!
First, let me tell you that I LOVE the Facial Wash.
It doesn't get foamy or dry your skin out
and the fun part is,
you get to follow it up with this Conditioning Mist-
It's the best toner ever because you just spray it on your face.
I've tried to use toner before,
but I'm lazy and don't have time to bust out a cotton ball
and rub it all over my face.
I just spray this stuff on and keep rolling.
Next, comes this amazing Eye Creme
and this Moisture Creme.
Like I said,
I wasn't having any problems with my other skincare line,
but when I used this stuff,
I noticed an immediate difference.
My skin was softer and smoother and
I loved the feel of my face.
Some of that may also be due to this miracle product
I use on a daily basis, Pure Gold -
It's got volcanic minerals in it
and actual gold elements that lift and tighten skin.

While I'm happily sharing my opinion on these products,
let me just state for the record
that I do NOT sell Sensaria,
nor do I work for this company in any capacity.
I'm just a woman who tried their products,
loved  them and  am now telling you about them.

I've been using the skincare system for over half a year now
and I still think it's amazing.
I'm happy with the results and glad I made the switch.
Oh and 2 other things I like about these products -
they are all naturally based and made in the U.S.A.!
What's not to like?
Anyone else out there given Sensaria a try?

Nights 2, 3, 4, 5 . . .

So after Night One,
things improved considerably.
On Night Two I said it's time for bed and
Walter ran over and crawled in with a story book.
Not long after finishing the book,
Walt looked like this -
We've never struggled with him getting out of bed
and running around like we thought we would.
He gets in and he stays in until morning.
Who would've guessed?
Every night thereafter has looked something like this.
I'm deeming Operation Big Boy Bed a success.

Operation Big Boy Bed - Night One

We weren't expecting much the first night,
I mean let's be honest.
But Walt was pretty excited when we had him hop in his new bed
for the first time the other night.
So excited in fact,
he soon was literally hopping in bed.
And there was no stopping him.
Jumping, bouncing,
and even dancing.
Here we were worried about him getting up
and coming out of his room all night,
but we couldn't even get him to quit the party and lay down.
We found him doing this after lights out.
So he ended up back in here after about 15 minutes.
He wasn't too happy about it.
Such was the end of Night One.

Walt's Big Boy Bed

In anticipation of baby #2,
Walter got a toddler bed from Grandpa and Grandpma.
These are pictures of Dad and Walter putting the
bed together for fun back in November,
even though Walt was still sleeping in his crib.
The finished product has just been hanging out
in the spare bedroom downstairs,
waiting for the day we were ready to tackle
the task of moving Walter from the crib.
I recently decided that it was time to give it a go.
So we bought a mattress for the toddler bed
and moved it upstairs to Walter's room.
We just stuck it next to his crib for now,
so if the whole thing is disastrous we can
just throw him back in his crib.
I'll keep you posted on how this works out.

Growing Girl

Guess who turned 2 months old when we weren't looking?
Yep, my little Ruby is growing like a weed!
At her 2 month appointment
she weighed 12.6 lbs (89%)
was 23 inches long (75%) and
had a head circumference of 15.3 inches (49%).
And did you see that wild hair??
It curls and sticks straight up right out of the bath.
I love it.
She's a real go-getter too,
always flailing her arms and kicking her legs like crazy.
Awhile back, we had a photo shoot with
Mandey from mandeymarie photography at our house.
I never got a chance to post the pictures,
so I'm doing it now.
These were taken when Ruby was about 2 weeks old.
Aren't they just precious?
Of course we had to get some flag shots
to go alongside Walter's.

Mandey has great prices and
you get a disc with all of your photos on it.
Didn't she do a great job?
I can't wait to print a bazillion copies
and frame these all over the house!
