Hope you had a great long weekend.
Adam had to work most of the time,
but Walt and I stayed very busy.
I started a number of projects that
you'll soon be seeing on here,
but on Sunday we went down
to the cemetery in Fergus Falls.
We had a few stops to make there.

Walt carried the flags we brought to
place at the graves of our family members.
I told him about Grandpa & Grandma Scott
whom we miss so much.

And also pushed him over to see an aunt & uncle
of mine from the other side of the family.
We left our flags and continued on.
After taking a moment at each site,
we made our way to the farm.
This is the house where my Grandpa & Grandma Scott lived.
As kids we used to get to spend
a lot of time out on the farm in the summer.
We'd wake up to the birds chirping and Grandma would
fry bacon and let us eat it until our heart's content.
She made the best crab apple jelly there ever was.
And Grandpa would always act like he was upset
that we were coming to stay and
would keep asking us when we were going home,
would keep asking us when we were going home,
but we knew he was glad to have us.
We had so much fun out here.
This is Walt & my Dad on the steps
of the house he grew up in.

This is Great Grandpa (my mom's dad), Walt, Grandpa & I

Great Aunt Cindy, Walt, Great Grandma,
Grandma, Great Grandpa & Grandpa.
There was so much to do at the farm, Walt loved it.
He sat in the tree swing with his second cousins.
He tried riding the lawn mower,
a bike,

and Grandpa's Four Wheeler,
but in the end he settled for Great Uncle Ron's knee.
It's pretty clear that this kid is going to love
going to the farm in the summer as much as I did!
